Career Highlights
After many years of hard graft, Ebdon finally broke through into the professional ranks of snooker in 1991.
Straight away the man from Wellinborough made an impact on the snooker scene, qualifying for the world championships on his first attempt, going all the way to the quarters.
His first ranking title came in 1993 when he beat Ken Doherty 9-6 to take the Grand Prix title. That year saw him break into the top 16 after reaching the semis of the Regal Welsh, the quarters in Dubai, placing him at number 10 in the world.
